August Day of Mindfulness at The Abbey

August 14 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Dear ones:

Please note: we have gently revised our schedule for the day based on a heart-felt desire to begin our morning meditation quietly settled into the peaceful atmosphere of the Bethany House meditation space. With that, we will end our check-in / orientation at 8:45 and enjoy a quiet cup of tea or coffee, sitting in a circle of shared stillness together in the lower room. As always, you are free to arrive or leave as you see fit. This day is meant to nourish you❤

Once again we gather in silence on the second Friday of the month at the Trappist Abbey in Carlton Oregon😊 Please consider treating yourself to a day of deep stillness in community with the earth, sky, trees, birds and each other as we come together in the spaciousness of silence—naturally encouraging seeds of compassion, joy, love, and faith to strengthen within us. As we practice stopping, calming and resting our bodies and minds within an atmosphere of peaceful silence at the Trappist Abbey in Carlton, Oregon, we nourish our ability to be present in the moment, and cultivate our capacity to heal wounds within ourselves, our families, our communities, and the world. Both new and experienced practitioners of any or no faith tradition are welcome! Please note that if you have accessibility issues, you can contact me (Nisi) so we can discuss your needs and see what type of accommodation may be possible for you 😊

Our silent days of mindfulness at the Abbey are regularly scheduled for the second Friday of every month, and I will send out a reminder in advance. If you have any questions about the day, you can email me at nisisegor@gmail.com.

As a practice of generosity, and with gratitude for the day, we offer dana to support the Trappist Abbey (min. group contribution of $50), as well as to offer appreciation for the continued commitment over the years that makes this practice opportunity possible. Your loving care is appreciated!
