Dear Friends,
Our next scheduled day of mindfulness is Friday, February 10th.
In 2023, our days of mindfulness at the Abbey are scheduled for the second Friday of every month. As usual, I will send out an email several weeks before. Please note that the suggested dana for the group has increased to $50 for Bethany House.
You are warmly invited to join together with us for a silent day of mindfulness at the Trappist Abbey on those days. No need to let me know in advance, unless you have questions. We ask that you follow the safety precautions listed below. The schedule and directions to the Abbey follow after—they haven’t changed. Remember to bring your own lunch, appropriate clothing for outdoor walking mediation as well as any blankets or special cushions for mediation. The suggested dana for the group is $50.
Safety precautions:
Those who wish to attend should be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations, including boosters if relevant
If have had symptoms or recent contact with a positive case of COVID-19 on the day you are coming, we ask that you do not come
Please bring a mask to wear while indoors at Bethany House in order to support those present
We will practice social distancing indoors
Please bring your own lunch and drinks. Coffee will be available, but no shared food
Please wash your hands frequently
We follow the trail guidelines at the trail entrance and respectfully do not walk off the trails.

Our practice is flexible, located at Bethany House, and generally follows this schedule:
8:30 – 8:45 am Overview of the Day Lower room
8:45 – 10:40 am Indoor Meditation Meditation room

“The miracle is not to walk on water.
The miracle is to walk on the green earth,
dwelling deeply in the present moment
and feeling truly alive.”
