We will call on Amida Buddha, who is the embodiment of infinite light and life and offers universal wisdom and boundless compassion to support us.  In our time together, our mindfulness practice will strenghten us as we tend our inner spark, developing solidity and stability, finding ways to deepen our metta and karuna (lovingkindness and compassion) practice, and provide us a touchstone to inspire wise and loving action.  Calling on the resources of somatic awareness, SoulCollage® and ritual, we can deeply embody our deepest aspirations for understanding and peace.

For those who are not familiar with the abbey, it is located in Southern Washington in a valley on the south side of Mt. Adams.   It is about a 20 mile drive north from Hood River in Oregon.  The photograph above is from the abbey looking toward the mountain to the north.  

Registation is now open.  To cover the various expenses of the event the base cost per person for the retreat is $485.  This includes all meals, lodging in:

      one of 7 meditation huts, 

      the bunk room which has a full bunk bed on the bottom and a single bed on top, 

      bed  in the “hostel room” which has 4 bunk beds (sleeping space for 8). 

      camp in a tent of your own  or an RV of your own. 

 

There are additional lodging spaces that are available for sleeping. These are as follows:

       A “glamping tent” that sleeps 2 in  single cots for an additional total cost of $30

      The “Man room” which has two single beds for an additional total cost of $200

      The “Woman room” which has a queen size bed for a total cost of $200

      The “Stoller Suite” with a king size bed, a stunning view of Mt Adams and an en suite bathroom for an additional total cost of $350

 

The base price also included materials that Alexa uses in her soul collage supplies, her travel expenses as well as event insurance we are being required to provide to Trout Lake.  Please know there will be a quest for Dana (generosity) at the retreat  to provide assistance for those needing scholarships as well as for Alexa’s teachings and a donation to the Abbey.

lucykingsley42@gmail.com.  If you need a scholarship to attend this event all you have to do is ask.   Please provide me with information about your dietary needs- allergies, etc.  Meals will be vegetarian with vegan options.  In addition please send me a check for half of the amount of the cost of the retreat (based on the type of lodging you would like to have) .   The balance is due at the beginning of the retreat.
